Tree in Cross

Desmond Chan is a self-taught jewelry designer based in Hong Kong. Inspired by everything, from Modern Art to something he sees on the streets. In his designing process, he tries to find a balance between technology and art. In recent years, 3D printing has become a common technique in jewelry making. 3D printing enables the jewelry of design-driven pieces that are not limited by the traditional methods, and eliminated many process steps that can easily be achieved some of the intricate details. Each design is sculpted using Maya and 3D printed in silver and gold.

Garuda Collection

Garuda Collection was inspired by a national symbol of Indonesia, a mythical bird with eagle-like features that appears in both Hinduism and Buddhism mythology. Made of 18 carats of gold with 8 feathers on the wing, 17 black stones on the head and another 45 on the wing, this ancient deity represents the date Indonesia proclaimed its independence: 17 August '45.

The Treasure Jewelry aim to break the typical thinking of jewelry. Flexibility of the Treasure’s construction can be easily adjusted to desired look and purpose. Two silver hangers passed through the rings at the two edges, transform metal mesh into the bag. Delband

The first sound that a baby hears in utero is their mother’s heartbeat. The Delband pendant symbolizes the supportive heart of a mother, pregnant with a little heart. Designed as a gift for two, for mother and child, this pendant comprises a little heart, the child’s, and a big heart, the mother’s. The two hearts are connected by a chain which crosses both. Delband can be used as two independent pendants and the child’s heart pendant can be kept by the mothers until the child grows up. Delband in Farsi signifies someone who you love from the bottom of your heart.

Vinylize Toney

Vinylize Toney is an optical frame up-cycled from unwanted vinyl records. The frame was designed for maximum comfort. The frame front is made by fusing a vinyl record with cellulose acetate. This makes it possible for opticians to insert prescription lenses and also lends the frame its unique black look. The temples are made from hypoallergenic cellulose acetate and house a metal core which makes them easily adjustable. The use of old records has given the collection a distinctive look. The frame is big, thick and rugged and the grooves are an integral part of the design.
